COPPA Compliance
Last updated: February 2026
Overview
The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) protects children under 13 from having their personal information collected online. LucidRead is fully COPPA compliant.
No Personal Information Collected
LucidRead has a zero-collection policy. No personal information is collected from children or anyone else.
- No names, emails, or contact information
- No location data or device identifiers
- No photos, videos, or audio recordings (voice typing stays in-browser)
- No cookies, tracking pixels, or behavioral data
No Third-Party Data Sharing
LucidRead does not share any data with third parties because there is no data to share. There are no advertising partners, analytics services, or data brokers involved.
Parental Consent
Because LucidRead collects no personal information from children (or anyone), parental consent under COPPA is not required. Parents and guardians can feel confident that their children can use LucidRead safely.
Safe Design for Children
LucidRead contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no social features, and no user-generated content sharing. It is a reading accessibility tool that modifies how text appears on screen.
