About LucidRead
Our Mission
LucidRead exists to make reading accessible for everyone. Free, private, open source. Built for students with dyslexia, ADHD, visual stress, and anyone who wants a better reading experience online.
Built by Jim Tyler
LucidRead is designed and developed by Jim Tyler. It's part of the TapSpeak ecosystem of accessibility tools.
Open Source
LucidRead is released under the MIT License. The source code is available on GitHub. We believe accessibility tools should be free and transparent.
Technology
Built with web standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), Chrome Manifest V3, no frameworks, no external dependencies. All processing happens locally in your browser.
Part of the TapSpeak Ecosystem
LucidRead works alongside TapSpeak, a free augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) platform. Together they provide comprehensive accessibility tools for communication and reading.
